As a 38 year old woman, suffering with PTSD, Panic Attacks and Depression, it would not be strange to know that I was on a plethora of medications to offset the symptoms of the aforementioned diagnosis. In fact, I was on medications to actually reduce the side effects of some of the medications I was taking.

Struggling with being on the highest doses of these medications, coming off of them was just not an option. And wanting to expand our family was not safe due the complications they could cause to a fetus. So under close watch of my family physician, I began to reduce my medications, in hope that my diagnosis would be ‘survivable’. Sadly just after 2 weeks, I realized I couldn’t do it. My symptoms were flaring significantly and I couldn’t function in daily life.

My partner suggested acupuncture. I tried a physiotherapists who did acupuncture, and they focused more on mobility. Finally we were referred to Maurice Nzoyamara R.Ac, who specializes in the Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. That was just over 3 weeks ago. In that short time, I am down to 1 medication, and can safely try to get pregnant. My GP was shocked to hear the results. I asked to try to eventually remove the last medication slowly. I can honestly say that with just a few weeks of treatment, I feel like a new woman. I know that my diagnosis will never go away, but my symptoms (when they flare) are manageable, and I can survive without side effects of medications.

Condition: Constant Ear & Jaw pain for 9 months

As you all know , since March of this year(2022) I have been suffering from the ear pain that has been unbearable . I missed 2 seasons of my life laying on a heating pad and was on all kinds of strong meds .
I am so thankful for my Doctor who went beyond to help me at every step of the way. It's been unbelievable how fast she got me in for every test and specialist . Without her help , I'd surely be in a bigger mess .
She sent me to a pain specialist last month . I went and got 3 injections . A super Doctor who said if this didn't work , he had another plan of action which I have confidence in his ability to help me in time .
About 3 weeks later , I was in so much pain , the heating pad or cold pack couldn't get rid of the pain .
Junior Noble (my husband) suggested as he suggested before that I try our local acupuncturist. I had no experience with that kind of treatment but was desperate.
Well , it will be a week tomorrow since I started going to him (Acupuncturist) and almost from the start I have been what you would call " pain free ". I am brought to tears for what has happened this week.
I am still extremely tired from all that I went though but that will come back with time .

I had pulled a muscle in my back and couldn't stand up straight and was in a lot of pain for days. I contacted Maurice Nzoyamara and within the hour I was in his clinic for treatment. He was a pleasure and very assuring the entire time. After the acupuncture and fire cupping I felt immediate relief. I’m 43 years old and have suffered chronic lower back pain for years, from a torn ligament. After an unrelated surgery this past April, I spent 5 full weeks in recovery and ended up with another episode of lower back pain. This episode was going on 4 months. I was to the point of not being able to get in and out of the car without severe pain. So most of my friends and family have known that I've been sick and in pain for a few years. I've been waiting on surgeries while being on all kinds of meds to try and deal with pain. Also I've been dealing with brain fog, fatigue, anxiety and depression and one thing after another.

I have to tell you this. My Mom has had a bad foot for the past 3-4 months. Swollen, extremely painful, and hardly able to walk on it. The past few days her foot was starting to turn in. The pain was so bad on times it would make her sick.

I've been having a sharp pain in my hamstring every morning when I woke up for the past few months. No place to go due to COVID-19. So when Maurice Nzoyamara's office/clinic opened I got an appointment last Wednesday, June 10/2020. We had a long meeting during initial evaluation(AcuGraph, Tongue and Pulse diagnosis) and then Maurice administered Acupuncture treatment on me and I was left in the treatment room to relax for 20 minutes. I first visited Maurice Nzoyamara in 2018. I was having multiple Sinus infections. While I realize that sometimes medications are necessary, I would rather take a natural approach to healing my mind and body. 

I sought out an acupuncturist to see if acupuncture could relieve my sinus infection symptoms. I could not be happier in my choice of making an appointment with Maurice Nzoyamara. His wealth of knowledge on how to use acupuncture to heal the symptoms of sinus infections was outstanding. His professionalism and friendliness made me feel at ease. This Winter I had an accident and broke my wrist and suffered soft tissue damage. I had a cast on for six weeks. Maurice Nzoyamara helped my hand and wrist heal by helping the blood flow properly and relieving pain through acupuncture session. He was instrumental through that healing process.

As I was mending from my broken wrist, I developed severe pain in my shoulder. I couldn't sleep for nights due to the pain. I made an appointment with Maurice and he did an acupuncture session followed by Fire Cupping therapy. It relieved the pain in my shoulder and I didn't have to take pain medications.

Through my ordeal, I relied on the Acupuncturist Maurice and he came through.

Maurice always greets you with a smile on his face and never rushes through an appointment. It seems he has all the time in the world for his patients and takes time to inquire about your health and if you are having any concerns.

Hey guys. I was popping pills to relieve my lower back pain due to sitting at my desk and in front of a computer for hours on hand. My immediate results after the first treatment was that I didn’t need any pills and my pain was tolerable. Instead of a 6.5 out of 10, it was now a 3. During the two weeks I was home I had 4 -20 min treatments and now I can say I’m all good. No back pain and my back muscles are completely relaxed. I will do a follow up visit next month if needed. If you tried everything including visiting your doctor about your issue. It is worth giving acupuncture a try. Don’t be intimidated by the procedure. The needles are small and not like a flu shot or a pin going in your bottom of your foot. I first saw Maurice Nzoyamara a few weeks ago.Thanks from a friend's recommendation.
He is the nicest and friendliest person and always makes sure you know what is going to happen next.
I have had extreme back pain ever since. I have been a small girl, it's just something I've learned to cope with. I found out when I was 18 I had a slight curved spine, thus resulting in my back issues/pain. I tried every single pain medication there is (avoiding the heavy stuff) and nothing ever worked, and if it did, it absolutely made my stomach pain much worse. So it was a trade off, I felt I couldn't win, I was always going to be in pain.

A few weeks ago, I walked into Maurice's clinic (barely, walked) I was crippled in so much pain, I was walking completely in half, the pain was shooting from everywhere to everywhere and I couldn't stop shaking. I was feeling my muscle spasms in my back.
No one was more shocked then I was, when he just put the needles in my arms and asked me to get up and walk.. AND I COULD. EFFORTLESSLY.
In 20 minutes I went from my pain being 100- couldn't walk- every breath was hurting... To virtually PAIN FREE. I literally skipped out to the car!!

I have been seeing Maurice twice a week, for 3 weeks now, and I can finally say I am pain free. I feel like a 27 year old should feel. I don't have words to thank you enough and I can't wait until my next appointment tomorrow!

I was referred to Mr. Nzoyamara by my Physiotherapist, Michael Shelly. I have been seeing Michael for quite some time about neck pain and migraines. During my first appointment with Maurice, he asked me some routine questions to help better understand my lifestyle and general health. Before I knew it, it seemed as though he knew exactly what my "issues" have been without me even having to tell him. I was quite impressed. In general, my neck pain was a daily- to an every second day occurrence. It would feel tight and like it needed to be cracked. My migraines have gotten better since seeing Michael, but head pain, or headaches in general were still there. Maurice had asked me about my sleep and I thought I was a good sleeper, with little interruptions throughout the night. questions about my diet and skin were also asked.
Immediately after my first appointment with Maurice I felt a release of tension from my neck. I also felt like I had more energy. In the following appointments ( I have had 6. one weekly) I continued to have less neck pain, more energy and my sleep has been excellent. As I mentioned before, I thought I was a good sleeper, but comparing before and after Acupuncture I now know that I sleep more soundly.
Throughout these 6 sessions, Maurice also prescribed some herbs to me. These were to help clean out my stomach / liver (I believe) and to ultimately help clear up my skin. They did in fact help with my skin. I am prone to breakouts as well as dry skin. The herbs helped a lot with the breakouts especially.
I am now at the "Maintenance" stage of treatment, meaning I will continue to see Maurice for Acupuncture once every 3-4 weeks.
Acupuncture is a non-invasive, quick treatment that has immediate results. I am very happy with how it has worked for me. I started my treatment for Migraines but Maurice has helped me with many more issues than just that. I would recommend Acupuncture to anyone. Don't knock it until you've tried it!
