Maurice Nzoyamara, R.Ac ND

Welcome/Bienvenue! Maurice Nzoyamara is the owner & founder of ACUPUNCTURE BODY & MIND CARE CLINIC and is a board certified Acupuncturist with Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals(NLCHP) and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Newfoundland and Labrador (CTCMPANL). 

As you can tell by his last name. Maurice Nzoyamara is originally from the warm country, Burundi in Africa. He came to Canada in 2003 and lived his first 5 years in Quebec City, where he studied Nursing Science. Then Maurice Nzoyamara went to Edmonton, Alberta to study Traditional Oriental Medicine. After his graduation, he started to practice his profession in  2 well known Acupuncture Clinics in Sherwood Park and Edmonton, AB.

Maurice Nzoyamara was also an Acupuncture instructor at the college of Acupuncture in Edmonton before relocating his practice from Alberta to Springdale, Baie Verte, Deer Lake and Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.  

Maurice Nzoyamara came first time to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2015. He went to Springdale, NL, where he started his Acupuncture practice at Body Works Fitness and Physiotherapy. As he loves nature, quietness, fishing activities, hiking, Maurice and his family decided to stay and live in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Maurice Nzoyamara and his family, Ester Nyabenda, Matt-Terry Nzoyamara and Steven Nzoyamara are now living in Deer lake, where ACUPUNCTURE BODY & MIND CARE CLINIC is located.

What is Maurice's mission? Maurice is passionate about natural health. His mission is to help as many people as possible  to achieve total health so they can live life to their full potential.

What is the Oriental Medicine about?  ORIENTAL MEDICINE (Acupuncture treatment) IS ALL ABOUT PREVENTION. '' Vaut mieux prévenir que guérir = Prevention is better than cure''.

Maurice Nzoyamara sees a patient as a whole human being (holistic approach: Mind, Body, and Soul) and focuses always on harmonizing Body & Mind when providing customized care to his patients. In order to provide the Corrective Care, Maurice uses all diagnostic tools (AcuGraph, Pulse, Tongue, pH test,...) to pinpoint the root causes of conditions. As Maurice is equiped with the knowledge of Western Medicine Science, he combines both sciences (Western & Oriental) when providing Acupuncture Care. 

Maurice Nzoyamara offers Acupuncture services in English, French, Kirundi, and Swahili.

Most insurance plans cover Maurice's Acupuncture Services. As he is a registered Acupuncturist in NL and Canada, the doctor's referrals are not required in order to receive Acupuncture Care, but it is always recommended to check it out with your insurance providers.
